Finding Focus March 17, 2021
--
Lately I’ve been seriously struggling to pick something and just work on it. There was simply too much decision fatigue and I was never sure about what to do. The solution so far is to try some of Scott Young’s energy management techniques. For example, I’ve been setting times in my calendar where I’m not allowed to work in order to recharge. It’s not realistic for me to set tasks that require me to work all day for them. Another thing I’ve been doing is starting to use FocusMate. Essentially, you book an appointment with an internet stranger and do a muted zoom session. Surprisingly it’s working great for me. Tomorrow I have about 5 focusmate appointments scheduled! Having someone, anyone, to keep me accountable makes such a huge difference.
Things I did today:
- Attend meeting for real estate agents to pitch to real estate investors
- Ran barefoot for about a half mile. It still hurts but I think I’m rapidly adapting.
- Read up on more learning content.
- Catching up on Anki.
